Residential Service Waiver (RSW) Behavior Support is a DSHS program that supports adults residing in adult family homes who have combined complex medical issues and behavioral health issues. This program supports the participant in meeting their needs to deter future hospitalizations and safely live in the community. In addition to serving the participant, ADPC staff work closely with caregivers to model, skill train and create strategies to manage behavioral issues that negatively impact stability of housing.
ADPC provides services in Snohomish and North King Counties.
We have contracted with DSHS who refers individuals discharging from a psychiatric hospital
into an adult family home. Participants receive support related to complex medical conditions and behavioral health issues.
Participants in the RSW program receive individual behavior management support and participate in community activities to increase socialization. With the support of ADPC staff, participants have the opportunity to practice communication skills, build healthy relationships and integrate into the community. The RSW program help participants develop coping skills to deter future psychiatric and/or medical hospitalizations.
We believe in the value of every person that we work with. Through our services we offer compassion, support and life enrichment; with a person-first, trauma-informed approach and meeting participants where they are at. Our RSW program is at the core of our value system.
